Compare two CSV files

Free, up to 1,000 rows across both files. They are read in this tab and never uploaded.

Rows are matched on the first column of each file. To choose the key, clean the files, or rerun next month, open the app.

A handwritten merchant's ledger page from September 1833, with customer names on the left and columns of amounts on the right.
A merchant's ledger, Pittsboro, North Carolina, 1833. Each line was once ticked against another book by hand.

What it checks

Both files are read with their encoding, delimiter and header row detected. Each row of the left file looks for a row in the right file with the same value in the first column. The count of matches is the result.

It does not compare the other columns, keep a history, or carry unmatched rows to next month. That is what a recipe in the app does, as on the right.
